DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, May 27th the Wilmington-Cape Fear HBA will be offering a 2-hour CE Elective.This 2-hour CE Elective covers the economic impact on housing and showcases how regulatory hurdles\, and labor can have a drastic effect on inventory levels and business practices. In today's market\, a limited supply of land\, a shortage of skilled labor\, and rising fees all contributing factors to the price of housing. This course examines the 26 different trades that have to touch a job site from start to finish and what challenges they face to survive. This course places a unique focus on exactly where our workforce comes from and its overall makeup of it. We examine the Country's immigration policies and also showcase the critical educational pathways that exist to help expose more of the younger generation to the construction industry.
