On November 21st, the Wilmington-Cape Fear HBA will be offering an In-Person CE Elective course - Land Use & Construction and Why It Matters to Pay Attention.
This class will be offered as an In-Person CE Class
This course is designed to showcase the many similarities between Land Use and construction and why it matters to really pay attention when constructing a new structure. Many contractors start a new build with the tried and true requirements of the North Carolina Building Code. In this course, we focus on what could be a different approach and study the mechanics of zoning to make sure you get off to a good footing. Upon completion of this course, students will have a better understanding of Zoning Ordinances and lot-specific dimensional requirements including yard, setbacks, and height, and how they relate to the construction of residential structures. We will also examine two case studies that showcase what we have learned in this course and how it is applied in a real-world scenario.
*A minimum of 5 students is required for the class to run, and registration is capped at 20 students.

We will be offering this Elective CE Class in in-person. The maximum number of people will be set at 20 class registrations.
This class will run from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Though the class begins promptly at 8:00 AM, we will be opening up registration at 7:15 AM pm to allow time for check-in. All class participants must be registered and seated by 7:50 AM. Failure to do so could put your class participation in jeopardy.

$75 for members or $110 for non-members - This fee covers your NCLBGC Fee as well.
