CLASS UPDATE - MOVES TO VIRTUAL (Synchronous Course)
On September 2nd, the Wilmington-Cape Fear HBA will be offering a virtual CE course option that will cover the 4-hour elective requirement that licensed general contractors are required to complete under G.S. 87-10.2
This class will be offered In-Person.
Provider: Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association
This course is designed to showcase the many similarities between Land Use & Construction and why it matters to really pay attention when constructing a new structure. Many contractors start a new build with the tried and true requirements of the North Carolina Building Code. In this course, we focus on what could be a different approach and study the mechanics of zoning to make sure you get off to a good footing. Upon completion of this course, students will have a better understanding of Zoning Ordinances lot-specific dimensional requirements including yard, setbacks, and height, and how it relates to the construction of the residential structures. We will also examine two case studies that showcase what we have learned in this course and how it is applied in a real-world scenario.
